Reporting to the Senior Manager, Client Relations & Business Development, you’ll support the Vancouver office as well as assigned national practice and industry groups, with a focus onclient development, business planning, pitches/RFPs, events and other BD initiatives.
Compensation Expected salary range is $70,000 - $90,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
What You’ll Be Doing Partner with lawyers and practice groups on business development plans and initiatives
Support and coordinate RFPs, pitches and new business opportunities
Prepare directory and award submissions
Support client-facing events, seminars, webinars and educational programming
Assist with sponsor ships and industry association initiatives
Coordinate practice group and client team meetings, including agendas, materials and follow-up
Support annual BD budgets and monitor expenses
Conduct market, client and industry research to support BD planning
Work with Marketing Communications on digital and print collateral
Help evaluate BD initiatives and provide recommendations on where to focus time and resources
Collaborate with the broader national BD, Events, Proposals and Marketing team'
What We're Looking For 3+ years of business development/marketing experience within a law firm
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing or a related field
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience preparing professional client-facing materials
Comfortable working directly with lawyers, Partners and senior stakeholders
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Collaborative, adaptable and comfortable supporting different practice areas and industries
Strong technology skills and ability to learn new systems quickly
