Role Summary As the Associate Manager Product Innovation, you will be supporting the Innovation team in bringing new products to market by owning key launch execution responsibilities from brief through delivery.
Working alongside the Senior Brand Manager Innovation, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination, research, and product development work that keeps Innovation's new product launches on time and on brief.
As the Associate Manager Product Innovation, you will be reporting directly to the Senior Brand Manager Innovation.
Responsibilities Research market trends and innovation to identify new product launch opportunities, ingredient trends, and consumer insights.
Compile internal comparison matrices to determine positioning of new products within the portfolio, ensuring no cannibalization of existing products.
Coordinate and facilitate product focus groups and surveys to provide insight into proposed product positioning, relatability, and appeal.
Conduct competitive research and purchase proxy products for reference during product conceptualization.
Support the development of collection concepts and strategic presentation materials that clearly define product positioning, market opportunity, and innovation rationale for products in development, and present when necessary.
Support clinical claims testing logistics including vendor coordination, inclusion criteria definition support, product shipping, and presentation of results to cross-functional teams.
Oversee user testing of product and packaging samples to evaluate user experience against predefined product specifications.
Support pricing and cost of goods (COGS) analysis by preparing relevant raw category and COGS data.
Maintain the Product Details and Stage-Gate documents, outlining the details of each product, ensuring it is error-free and completed in full by required deadlines.
Coordinate and facilitate launch-related meetings Support post-launch analysis on collections and present findings to the Marketing team as part of a lessons learned share out.
Provide logistical support for photoshoot planning by coordinating all required products and components with various stakeholders Manage the tradeshow tracker; share updates within the Innovation team and put forward recommendations for relevant shows and seminars.
Qualifications 3-4 years of experience in product management, product marketing, or product development, ideally in skincare, beauty, health/wellness, or consumer-packaged goods.
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
Demonstrated experience with product development and project coordination from brief through delivery Experience conducting market and consumer research and translating insights into actionable recommendations.
Familiarity with pricing analysis, COGS, and ROI frameworks is an asset.
Excellent project management and communication skills.
Comfortable with presenting.
Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple workstreams with accuracy and professionalism.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong understanding of skincare products, trends.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g.
Asana, Smartsheet) is an asset.
