Care about the future of B.C.? Put that passion to work.

Affordable housing. Strong public healthcare. Good jobs and fair opportunities for working people. Protecting our environment. Building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive.

If these are the kinds of issues that get you talking, this could be a unique opportunity to spend the next few weeks doing exactly that.

We're hiring passionate, outgoing people to join a provincial election fundraising campaign in Vancouver.

You'll work face-to-face with the public across the city, having meaningful conversations about the issues affecting people in B.C., building support for the campaign and inspiring people to get involved.

This is a temporary position running through the provincial election in late October, with opportunities for strong performers to be considered for ongoing fundraising work afterward.

What You'll Be Doing

Start conversations with people from all walks of life

Engage people on issues affecting communities across B.C.

Talk about priorities such as affordability, housing, healthcare, workers and jobs, strong public services and the environment

Inspire supporters to get involved and financially support the campaign

Work toward individual and team fundraising goals

Have positive and respectful conversations with people - including those who may have different points of view

Who We're Looking For

You don't need previous fundraising or political campaign experience.

We're interested in people who care about their communities and aren't afraid to speak up about the issues that matter to them.

This could be a great fit if you're:

Interested in politics, advocacy, social justice, community organizing or social issues

Passionate about building stronger and more inclusive communities

Interested in issues like affordability, housing, public healthcare, workers' rights or environmental protection

Comfortable approaching and speaking with new people

An engaging communicator who enjoys meaningful conversations

Comfortable publicly representing a political campaign

Resilient, motivated and comfortable working toward goals

Happy working outdoors and being on your feet throughout your shift

Able to communicate respectfully with people who hold different political perspectives

Available to start right away and work through the provincial election

Experience in fundraising, canvassing, activism, volunteering, hospitality, sales, theatre, customer service, community outreach or public speaking can all translate well to this role.

The Details

Pay:$20/hour guaranteed

Work environment: Outdoor, face-to-face street fundraising

Term: Temporary election campaign position, expected to run through late October

What Happens After the Election?

This position is being hired specifically for the election campaign, so candidates should apply expecting temporary work.

However, we're a year-round fundraising organization.
Strong performers may have the opportunity to be considered for ongoing part-time fundraising positions with our other campaigns after the election.

Ready to Get Involved?

If you're passionate about the issues shaping B.C., enjoy talking to people and want to spend the next few weeks doing meaningful, public-facing work during the provincial election, we'd love to hear from you.
