As a Licensed Practical Nurse in the Hemodialysis Unit, you will work alongside an integrated nephrology team. This role requires performing varied and complex nursing interventions while supporting patients in pre, during, and post-dialysis activities. Your expertise in patient assessment, planning, and effective communication will be crucial in delivering exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and implement patient care plans as needed
• Monitor patients and report any concerns to the RN
• Perform hemodialysis procedures and nursing duties
• Document all relevant patient care activities
• Assist in educating and supporting patients and families
Requirements:
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program
• One year of recent acute care experience
• Current registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives
• Basic cardiac life support certification
• Strong communication and organizational skills
