Reporting to the Director of Care, as an RN, your primary role will be to provide resident care and oversee medication administration. You will engage with families during critical interventions and mentor other nursing staff in delivering high-quality care. A background in gerontology or nursing experience with seniors is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care for residents with changing needs
• Carry out restricted activities as per health regulations
• Perform assessments and update care strategies
• Coordinate care with families during emergencies
• Mentor to unregulated care providers to ensure quality
Requirements:
• RN registration in British Columbia required
• Background in gerontology, rehabilitation or long-term care
• Excellent critical thinking and communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Current Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS)
