Nurse in Medical Imaging at PHSA

Be a vital part of patient care in an engaging nursing role with Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA). This Medical Imaging Nurse position focuses on IV insertions, patient assessments, and supporting anesthesia procedures.

Under supervision of Clinical Nurse Leader and Medical Imaging Site Coordinator, you'll deliver direct patient care, handle sedation processes and support postoperative recovery.

Your role will ensure that patient records are accurate and help maintain quality care by collaborating with a multidisciplinary team throughout imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate patient health records and communications

• Provide emotional support and preparation for imaging procedures

• Assess patient status before and after Medical Imaging procedures

• Administer medications and monitor sedation for patients

• Participate in patient care conferences and multidisciplinary rounds

Requirements:

• RN registration with British Columbia College of Nursing Professionals (BCCNP)

• CPR Training – BCLS Level 1 certification

• One year of recent Pediatric PACU or critical care experience

• PALS Certification is required

• Effective communication skills with children and families
