Overview
Join the team as a Staff Nurse in the Post Anesthetic Care Unit at Providence Health Care. Focus on providing specialized nursing care and supporting holistic patient needs.
In this nursing role, you will assess and implement care for patients post-surgery, ensuring their physiological and psychological needs are met. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals, you will guide patient education and recovery strategies. This role requires a proactive approach to monitoring and modifying nursing interventions based on patient evaluations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient/resident status
- Formulate and revise individualized nursing care plans
- Document patient information and treatment outcomes
- Direct care for patients in life-threatening situations
- Facilitate group educational activities for patients
- Active RN registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses
- Minimum two years’ experience in critical care
- Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
- CPR training knowledge
- Demonstrated leadership in patient care
