The Nurse Practitioner will manage a client panel, particularly focusing on the health needs of 1,250 patients in the Nuxálk and Ulkatcho First Nation communities. You will practice in a team-based setting promoting both traditional and Western wellness. Expect to travel weekly for community appointments and engage deeply with cultural humility.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide primary care in a culturally safe environment
• Deliver whole-person care adhering to BC regulations
• Collaborate with team members for optimal patient outcomes
• Travel to various community sites for patient appointments
• Support First Nations families in their wellness journeys
Requirements:
• Master’s Degree as a Nurse Practitioner (Family)
• Active license with the BCCNM in good standing
• Training in Cultural Safety & Humility (or willingness to train)
• Experience with First Nations communities preferred
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel
