The OpportunityThe Registered Nurse (RN) reporting to the Director of Care is responsible for providing direct resident care, medication administration, and documenting care in compliance with regulatory, Resident Health and Wellness standards, policies, and procedures.
What You Will Do- Provide components of nursing care to residents whose care needs require RN/RPN competencies (i.e., residents with complex, unpredictable, unstable, changing care needs).
- Carry out restricted activities authorized for the RN/RPN under the Health Professionals Act, supported by Age Care policies and procedures.
- Perform complex care interventions in situations where ongoing assessment and adjustments in care approach are necessary, or where interventions are not part of the regular duties of other nursing staff.
- Communicate with families in urgent or emergent situations requiring interventions.
- Provide care to stable residents to further assess individual residents and/or coach other nursing staff in the provision of quality care.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse in the applicable Province/State.
- Experience working with seniors and unregulated care providers.
- Education and experience in gerontology, rehabilitation, or community/complex/long‑term care (asset).
- Strong written and oral communication, critical thinking, care coordination, time management, and customer focus skills.
- Sound clinical knowledge and ability to delegate to unregulated care providers.
- Maintenance of competencies as per governing College standards.
- Computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Current Vulnerable Position/Sector Screening (VPS) within the last 6 months.

Employment Type:
Wage Levelling. Salary: $41.42 - $55.91 per hour. Salary placement based on qualifications and experience.
