Join Vancouver Island Health Authority as a Registered Nurse specializing in renal care. This role focuses on delivering nursing care to patients undergoing hemodialysis and requires strong communication and organizational skills.
As a Renal Nurse, you will report to the Manager of Renal Services. Your responsibilities include caring for patients with chronic and acute renal failure, establishing therapeutic relationships, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will engage collaboratively with patients and their families to facilitate informed choice and self-care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care for patients during hemodialysis
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team
• Assess and identify patients' psycho-social needs
• Educate patients and families on care procedures
• Organize and prioritize patient care effectively
Requirements:
• Current RN registration with BC College of Nurses
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification
• Recent hemodialysis experience or equivalent training
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Decision-making and analytical abilities
Utilize your nursing skills to promote patient safety and well-being within the renal services team.
