As a Travel Health Nurse Practitioner at Passport Health, you will deliver comprehensive assessments and services to international travelers. This role emphasizes autonomous practice within the scope defined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives. Key responsibilities include prescribing medications, administering vaccinations, and advising patients on travel safety, all while collaborating with a diverse healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess clients' health and travel plans via telehealth
• Prescribe medications for malaria and altitude sickness
• Administer required vaccinations and document patient charts
• Educate clients about medication side effects effectively
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to enhance service
Requirements:
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in British Columbia
• State certification for prescribing medications
• Comfortable with daily technological use
• Effective communication and analytical skills
• Availability for two 4-hour shifts weekly
