This role requires independent nursing practice aligned with BCCNM standards and a commitment to client and family-centered care. As a part of the oncology unit, you'll engage in identifying client issues and addressing them effectively. Bring your expertise in chemotherapy administration and nursing leadership to enhance patient quality of life.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care to oncology patients undergoing chemotherapy
• Collaborate with health care professionals for comprehensive client support
• Maintain and advance clinical nursing competence and leadership
• Participate in hospital committees and research projects
• Provide education and guidance to clients and families
Requirements:
• Advanced oncology nursing program completion or two years related experience
• Current BCCNM registration as a Registered Nurse
• Certification in chemotherapy and central venous catheter use
• Comprehensive knowledge of chemotherapy drugs and nursing challenges
• Ability to prioritize tasks and respond to emergencies
