Position: Registered Nurse for Operating Room
Advance your nursing expertise as a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room at Mount St. Joseph Hospital with Providence Health Care. This role features a robust perioperative training program.

Eligible nurses can enroll in the perioperative nursing program funded by Providence Health Care and BCIT, including full tuition coverage for courses and clinical experiences. Upon successful completion, nurses qualify for positions with a commitment to 18 months of service. A minimum of 1-2 years of medical/surgical experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate patients' health and plan appropriate care

• Develop, implement, and assess care strategies

• Educate patients and families about their care plans

• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members

• Communicate patient progress and changes accurately

Requirements:

• Must have BCCNM Registered Nurse registration

• 1-2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing

• Successful completion of a dexterity test required

• Able to use CPR procedures proficiently

• Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
