Become a Staff Nurse with Providence Health Care, focusing on mental health and comprehensive patient assessments. This role is crucial for providing tailored nursing interventions to meet mental health needs.
As a Staff Nurse, you will work under the Patient Care Manager to deliver effective nursing care adhering to the BCCNP Standards. Your responsibilities will encompass the planning, implementing, and evaluating of patient care while also supporting fellow nursing staff through teaching and teamwork. Demonstrating clinical expertise and prioritization in care is key.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct thorough assessments to understand patient needs
• Create and adjust care plans using clinical judgment
• Record and report patient status and outcomes
• Manage crises and provide critical nursing interventions
• Lead group education sessions for patients and families
Requirements:
• Current RN or RPN registration in British Columbia
• Minimum one year of experience in a psychiatric setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Decision-making abilities in clinical scenarios
• Capability to manage the physical demands of nursing
