Join a team of Indigenous and non-Indigenous midwives dedicated to urban Indigenous care. We seek a Registered Midwife for a one-year parental leave, with potential for long-term commitment.
This role offers a flexible schedule with on-call responsibilities and three clinic days each week. Work within a collaborative team focused on culturally informed practices and regular case-based discussions. Engage with community health efforts to uphold Indigenous-led midwifery care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide midwifery services to diverse clients
• Collaborate in team-led health initiatives
• Attend case planning and review meetings
• Be involved in outreach programs with Indigenous communities
• Fulfill shorter on-call engagements as scheduled
Requirements:
• Valid Registered Midwife certification required
• Prior experience in midwifery is a plus
• Strong understanding of Indigenous health perspectives
• Ability to work in a culturally sensitive manner
• Interest in anti-racist practices and learning
