Join Kilala Lelum Health and Wellness Cooperative as a dedicated Relational Care Nurse, focusing on culturally safe health services for the Downtown Eastside community. This 0.6 FTE role emphasizes outreach, medication management, and case coordination.
As a Relational Care Nurse, you will be part of an integrated team providing essential nursing care to members accessing our drop-in services. Your work will support individuals facing barriers in health access, ensuring they receive food, medicine, and holistic cultural care. A key component is fostering relationships with community members and engaging in outreach to assist with medication and food delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build empathetic, culturally safe relationships with members
• Conduct outreach for medication and wound care support
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR OSCAR
• Manage medication for patients with chronic illnesses
• Supervise nursing students and support team training
Requirements:
• Registered with BC College of Nurses and Midwives
• One year of primary care nursing experience
• Complete CPR/BLS certification
• Strong crisis management and communication skills
• Committed to respectful, collaborative practices
