Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated Public Health Nurse to join the Indigenous Health team at Central Community Health Centre. In this role, you’ll leverage your public health nursing knowledge to deliver targeted programming aimed at improving health across prenatal, infant, youth, and adult populations. Your work will enhance community relationships and involve various interventions to address public health issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote optimal health and safety across all ages
• Establish interdisciplinary relationships within the community
• Utilize assessments and interventions based on client needs
• Implement health promotion and prevention strategies
• Respond to emerging public health issues as needed
Requirements:
• Current BCCNM Registered Nurse registration
• Specialty nursing certification and public health experience
• Valid BC Driver's license and vehicle access
• Knowledge of trauma-informed practices and harm reduction
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
