Registered Nurse Medical Ambulatory - Vacation Relief

The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42/Hr.

- CAD $55.91/Hr. The hours of work, including start and stop times, days off, work area and work site may be subject to change consistent with operations requirements and applicable provisions of the Collective Agreement and statutes. Testing may be required. A criminal record check may be required. The SPH Medical Ambulatory portfolio delivers a broad range of specialized outpatient services, including Home Parenteral Nutrition, the Adult Bleeding Disorders Program, the Red Cell Disorders Program, Community IV, and additional subspecialty clinics.

These programs support patients with complex, chronic, and highly specialized care needs.

Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Staff Nurse:

• assesses, identifies, plans, implements and evaluates the nursing care required to assist patients/residents in meeting their physical, social, spiritual and psychological needs using an established framework for nursing practice
• develops, implements, evaluates and revises the plan of care
• incorporates individual and/or group teaching into the care plan and nursing interventions and/or makes referrals to other identified resources
• supports other nurses and health care professionals by collegially sharing information and demonstrating procedures
• the Staff Nurse works within an interdisciplinary clinical framework in accordance with the BCCNM Standards of Practice and consistent with the mission, vision and values and established protocols of Providence Health Care

This is a Temporary Full Time role until March 31, 2027.

Minimum Nurse‑to‑Patient Ratios (mNPR) set the minimum number of nurses required to safely care for patients on a given unit. Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives, or in Residential Care and Mental Health, current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.

Two years recent medical/surgical experience required including demonstrated skills competency and proficiency in IV Therapy.
