This role requires a Registered Nurse or Psychiatric Nurse with specialized experience in working with vulnerable populations. As the Adult Protection Lead, you will develop and modify educational programs while ensuring compliance with the Adult Guardianship Act. Lead staff consultations and mentorship, aiming for excellence in care delivered across the Community of Care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop nurse training programs tailored to staff needs
• Provide formal mentorship and consultation on care practices
• Analyze current literature to improve practices and tools
• Implement educational content evaluating its effectiveness
• Support interdisciplinary staff in addressing abuse and neglect
Requirements:
• Valid registration with BCCNM as RN or RPN
• Five years of experience in adult protection
• Knowledge of the Adult Guardianship Act
• Strong assessment and communication skills
• Valid BC Driver's License
Effectively support vulnerable adults and enhance staff knowledge to provide the best care with Vancouver Coastal Health.
