Become a Registered Nurse at Kílala Lelum Health and Wellness Cooperative in Vancouver, where you'll provide vital nursing care focused on health equity for urban Indigenous populations. This role is deeply rooted in community and cultural responsiveness.
In this part-time position (0.6 FTE), you will engage with community members, offering holistic healthcare solutions in collaboration with Elders and healthcare professionals. Your responsibilities will include conducting health assessments, administering medications, and promoting harm reduction practices. Passion for Indigenous health and trauma-informed care is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Foster supportive relationships to enhance community wellbeing
• Execute outreach for health services and education
• Document patient information accurately using EMR OSCAR
• Manage care for chronic conditions and mental health
• Supervise nursing practicum students from UBC
Requirements:
• Valid Registered Nurse licensure in BC
• Proven clinical skills in chronic disease management
• Experience in culturally competent care practices
• Ability to collaborate within diverse teams
• Commitment to ongoing education and health equity
