Pay Range: $45.78–$82.98/hour (based on experience, education, seniority, collective bargaining agreement, and other factors)

The RN – ICU Stepdown provides direct patient care for intermediate-level acuity patients transitioning from intensive care. This role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary care teams to support positive patient outcomes.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Document patient care according to organizational standards
• Delegate and direct care appropriately to team members
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Support quality improvement, patient safety, and infection prevention initiatives
• Maintain professional competency through ongoing education and development

• Degree from an accredited School of Nursing

• At least 1 year of recent (within the last 36 months) RN experience in Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Stepdown Unit
• Intermediate Care setting
• Must be able to provide care independently within the department

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
• ACLS within 6 months of hire
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification within 6 months of hire

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Experienced Stepdown/PCU RN comfortable managing higher-acuity patients
• Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills
• Team-oriented with excellent communication abilities
