This position requires current registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BCCNM. You will deliver individualized nursing care and collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans for clients with severe mental illnesses and concurrent disorders. Your expertise in harm reduction strategies and psychiatric care models will play a crucial role in patient recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide direct nursing care to clients in the inpatient unit
• Develop and modify strength-based treatment plans
• Conduct thorough assessments for psychosocial rehabilitation
• Administer medications and monitor client responses
• Collaborate with healthcare teams and family members
Requirements:
• Current registration with the BCCNM
• Minimum 240 hours of clinical practicum in mental health
• Knowledge of the Mental Health Act and care models
• Ability to manage crisis situations effectively
• Strong documentation skills for client care
