Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a Geriatric Nurse at the West Vancouver Adult Day Centre. This role is perfect for those passionate about enhancing quality of life for older adults through comprehensive care.
As a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will care for older patients dealing with chronic diseases and mental health conditions. Your work will involve critical assessments and interventions to promote resident-centered care. Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing assessments and tailored interventions
• Cooperate with a multi-disciplinary team for effective care
• Evaluate resident outcomes to meet individual care goals
• Mentor and guide RCA’s and LPN’s in resident support
• Facilitate communication among families and healthcare staff
Requirements:
• Must hold current BCCNM registration as RN or RPN
• Completion of relevant gerontology education required
• Familiarity with chronic illness management essential
• Knowledge in end-of-life care strategies preferred
• Experience in delivery of care for frail elderly patients
