Licensed Practical Nurse Casual Position

Become a part of a caring team at Retirement Concepts as a Licensed Practical Nurse in a casual capacity. This position focuses on delivering quality, resident-centered care and actively leading your assigned team.

In the role of Licensed Practical Nurse, you will report to the Director of Care and coordinate comprehensive care for residents. You will assess individual needs, tailor care plans, and monitor health changes, while also advocating for resident rights. Your participation in staff orientation and educational sessions will enhance team skills and improve care quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and evaluate health care plans for residents

• Perform assessments and administer prescribed treatments

• Coordinate with families, physicians, and community representatives

• Oversee compliance with community policies and emergency procedures

• Guide and mentor new staff members for improved care outcomes

Requirements:

• Licensed Practical Nurse with BCCNM approval

• Occupational First Aid Level 1 certification required

• Valuable experience in long-term care settings

• Capable of communicating effectively in English

• Must pass the vulnerable sector Criminal Record Check
