ICU Stepdown Registered Nurse

Position: ICU Stepdown Registered Nurse - PeaceHealth
Become an integral part of Peace Health as a Full-Time Registered Nurse in the ICU Stepdown department, working night shifts. This role focuses on intermediate-level patient care and collaborative team dynamics.

As an RN in the Stepdown Unit, you'll be responsible for monitoring and managing patients transitioning from intensive care. Candidates need a year of recent RN experience and a strong proficiency in clinical assessment. You'll work in partnership with interdisciplinary teams while enhancing patient safety and quality improvement efforts. Strong communication and critical thinking skills are essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive assessments and patient care plans

• Document care activities as per organizational standards

• Delegate care effectively among team members

• Collaborate with physicians and care teams consistently

• Participate in infection prevention and quality initiatives

Requirements:

• Must hold a degree from an accredited Nursing school

• Minimum of 1 year RN experience in Progressive Care required

• Current RN license and BLS certification needed

• Must obtain ACLS and NIHSS certifications within 6 months

• A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred
