VCH is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in acute medical/surgical nursing to join its Cardiac Care Unit. Working in accordance with BCCNM standards, you will care for high-risk clients on life-support equipment and those recovering from anesthesia.
Your role includes maintaining clinical competence and participating in quality committees and research projects.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide nursing care to high-risk critically ill patients
• Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Enhance patients' quality of life through dedicated care
• Maintain clinical expertise in critical nursing practices
• Participate in hospital committees and research initiatives
Requirements:
• RN with experience in acute medical/surgical settings
• Recent acute care experience preferred 2+ years
• Commitment to post-basic training and continuous learning
• Ability to collaborate effectively within teams
• Meet vaccination and onboarding requirements for VCH
