As an Adult Protection Lead Nurse at Vancouver Coastal Health, you will spearhead initiatives targeting vulnerable populations facing abuse and neglect. This position blends nursing education, complex care planning, and interdisciplinary collaboration to attain program goals under the Adult Guardianship Act. You will play an essential role in uplifting staff capabilities through focused training and resource development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and facilitate educational programs for nursing staff
• Mentor and consult on adult protection issues
• Create decision support tools based on research
• Provide direct patient care and intervention strategies
• Coordinate resources for complex case management
Requirements:
• Active RN/RPN license with BCCNM
• Minimum five years’ experience in related fields
• In-depth understanding of adult protection legislation
• Valid BC Driver's License for work-related travel
• Proven skills in communication and trauma-informed practices
