Join Vancouver Coastal Health as an Adult Protection Lead Nurse in Vancouver, BC, focusing on training and service delivery within vulnerable adult populations. This role emphasizes mentorship and compliance with health regulations.
In this Registered Nurse/Psychiatric Nurse position at VCH, you’ll enhance care quality through the ReAct Adult Protection Program. You will deliver nursing education, address complex care needs, and collaborate across disciplines to support those impacted by abuse and self-neglect. The position is designed for a nurse looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of vulnerable adults.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver training programs and assess educational needs
• Mentor staff on regulatory compliance and care interventions
• Analyze data and literature for program improvements
• Facilitate direct care for individuals facing abuse
• Develop supportive care plans in complex situations
Requirements:
• Current BCCNM registration as an RN or RPN
• Five years of direct experience in adult care related to abuse
• Familiarity with legislation governing adult protection
• BC Driver's License and access to a vehicle
• Strong background in cultural safety and health assessments
Lead initiatives to address and mitigate adult protection issues while providing crucial education to your peers in health care.
