This role involves providing psychiatric nursing care in a collaborative, interprofessional team environment. As a Registered Nurse/Registered Psychiatric Nurse, you will conduct assessments, implement interventions, and advocate for patients' rights. Your expertise in clinical leadership and evidence-based practices will empower you to enhance patient care and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess, plan and implement nursing care for assigned patients
• Participate in the total therapeutic program of the unit
• Document and report on patient assessments and care
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team
• Advocate for patients’ rights and dignity
Requirements:
• Graduation from an approved School of Nursing
• Current registration with BCCNM as a Registered Nurse
• One year recent experience in mental health services
• Class 5 Driver's License and personal vehicle access
• Commitment to learning and ongoing education
