This role involves working on the Cambie Older Adult Mental Health team, where you will conduct psychogeriatric assessments and provide holistic treatment solutions for older adults grappling with mental health and substance use disorders. Your collaborative approach ensures the integration of services across care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct detailed psychogeriatric evaluations
• Collaborate with families and medical professionals to optimize care
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support
• Lead individual and group counseling sessions
• Organize educational programming for clients and families
Requirements:
• Active registration as a RN or RPN with BCCNM
• At least three years of relevant experience
• B.C. Driver’s License and vehicle access necessary
• Comprehensive knowledge of gerontology and psychiatric practices
• Proficient in crisis intervention and counseling
