Mental Health Nurse Coastal Health

Enhance mental health care as a Mental Health and Substance Use Nurse with Vancouver Coastal Health at Spiritwood Homes in Maple Ridge, BC. You'll provide direct nursing care and individualized treatment plans while collaborating within a supportive team.

This role involves working with clients facing severe mental illness and concurrent disorders, addressing their unique needs through tailored nursing interventions. Your expertise will guide assessments, medication management, and health coordination, all rooted in recovery-focused methodologies. You'll play a key role in defining treatment strategies and fostering therapeutic relationships that enhance client well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized nursing care to clients with mental health challenges

• Implement and evaluate strength-based treatment plans

• Consult with healthcare teams and families for holistic care

• Administer medications and monitor client responses

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate client records

Requirements:

• Registration as a Nurse or Psychiatric Nurse in BC

• 240 hours clinical experience in mental health

• Knowledge of concurrent disorders and treatment strategies

• Effective crisis intervention and conflict management skills

• Ability to foster collaborative relationships with clients and teams
