Crosstown Clinic is now accepting applications for nurses to join their harm reduction-driven team. A leading substance use treatment program in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, Crosstown is the first clinic in North America to provide prescription diacetylmorphine through Injectable Opioid Agonist Therapy (iOAT). Here, nurses provide specialized, relationship-centred care to people with substance dependence, helping clients find greater stability while supporting their goals along the continuum of substance use and connecting them with the community, primary care, mental health and social services they need.

Crosstown is supported by an on-site pharmacy and an interdisciplinary care team composed of physicians, nurses, social workers, and other care professionals.

This position may be eligible for a one-time recruitment incentive of up to $15,000. Eligibility and the exact amount will be determined based on the FTE and is subject to funding availability. To learn more about this incentive and whether you may qualify, please contact your Recruitment Advisor.

Your duties will include:

• Client Care & Monitoring: Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to clients with substance use disorders within a harm reduction framework. Monitor client health and wellbeing before, during, and after treatment, respond to medical or behavioural crises, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective care delivery.
• Care Planning & Documentation: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans using clinical judgment and best practices. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, interventions, progress notes, and discharge plans in accordance with professional standards.
• Education & Advocacy: Educate and coach clients and families on health-promoting behaviours, harm reduction strategies, and treatment options. Advocate for clients’ dignity, rights, and access to care, ensuring services are provided with compassion and respect.
