Community-Focused Mental Health Nurse Position

Play a pivotal role as a Mental Health and Substance Use Nurse at Vancouver Coastal Health's MHSU Outpatient Services. Engage with clients requiring assessments, treatment, and community connections to improve their everyday lives.

We are seeking a dedicated registered nurse or psychiatric nurse with a strong commitment to client care. With at least three years of experience, you will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide crisis intervention and individualized care strategies, ensuring that clients receive consistent support through their treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive assessments for outpatient clients

• Work closely with multidisciplinary team members

• Offer crisis intervention during high-risk situations

• Assist clients in accessing community health resources

• Develop and implement effective treatment plans

Requirements:

• Active RN or RPN registration with BCCNM

• Minimum three years' relevant experience

• Familiarity with psychiatric care models and community services

• Effective communication skills for client interaction

• Competence in crisis intervention techniques
