Join Vancouver Coastal Health as the Adult Protection Lead Nurse in Vancouver, BC and support nursing staff through education and mentorship. Focus on enhancing care for vulnerable adults facing abuse.
As part of the Lily Lee Community Health Centre team, you will lead in developing educational programs and providing clinical guidance that complies with the Adult Guardianship Act. This role emphasizes the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration while addressing the complexities of adult abuse and neglect. You will assess educational needs, implement training, and provide consultation for effective care delivery within a culturally safe framework.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and delivery of nursing training
• Consult on care planning for adult protection issues
• Conduct evaluations of educational outcomes
• Facilitate discussions on improving protocols and standards
• Mentor staff in best practices around abuse interventions
Requirements:
• Registered Nurse or Psychiatric Nurse license in BC
• Five+ years of experience in vulnerable adult care
• Advanced training in adult protection
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation
• Comprehensive skills in clinical assessment and intervention
