Join Vancouver Coastal Health as a Mental Health and Substance Use Nurse in Vancouver, BC, and provide critical support to clients within an inpatient setting. Your expertise will enhance the recovery of individuals facing mental health and addiction challenges.
Working under BCCNM standards, you will be an integral part of the Mental Health Substance Use Inpatient Unit. Responsibilities include assessing client needs, coordinating care, and developing strength-based treatment plans. Collaborate closely with families and healthcare teams to ensure holistic care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individualized nursing assessments and interventions
• Plan and evaluate treatment strategies with the healthcare team
• Support family education and transition planning
• Maintain thorough client documentation and records
• Participate in team-driven care and quality assurance
Requirements:
• Active registration as a Nurse or Psychiatric Nurse
• Experience in a clinical mental health environment
• Understanding of concurrent disorders and recovery strategies
• Skills in group counseling and educational program development
• Capacity to handle diverse client needs with compassion
