Join Kilala Lelum Health and Wellness Cooperative as a Primary Care Registered Nurse focused on health equity. This part-time role promotes culturally-safe care in the Downtown Eastside (DTES).
The Registered Nurse will support wellness initiatives while working within the Primary Care Program at Kilala Lelum. Collaborate with providers to deliver compassionate, member-centered care for individuals facing health disparities. You will ensure seamless access to medical support, community resources, and maintain documentation for effective patient management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build relationships and provide empathetic support to members
• Conduct outreach for medication and food delivery
• Document all interactions in EMR OSCAR records
• Manage medications for members with chronic conditions
• Assist in training nursing practicum students from UBC
Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion required
• Current registration with BC College of Nurses
• One year of primary care nursing experience
• Knowledge of Indigenous cultures preferred
• CPR/BLS certification mandatory
