Bring practical nursing expertise to Providence Health Care’s Langara site in Vancouver, with rotating days and evenings onsite.
This Licensed Practical Nurse position serves long-term care residents across Providence Health Care’s multi-site program. Whether experienced or new to nursing practice, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include preparing residents for procedures, monitoring symptoms, teaching, and supporting families.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare residents for procedures, transfers, and admissions
- Monitor signs and symptoms and communicate with care teams
- Address resident and family learning needs
- Coordinate individualized care plans with interdisciplinary teams
- Assist with discharge planning and external supports
- Recognized Practical Nursing education or equivalent preparation
- Practicing LPN registration with British Columbia’s nursing regulator
- Current basic cardiac life support certification
- Physical ability to perform position duties
- Ability to identify learning needs and teach residents
Use practical nursing, assessment, education, and care coordination skills while supporting residents at Langara and related sites.
