Groundskeeper II – short‑term / full‑time

Provide general groundskeeping, landscape maintenance and gardening of Commission‑owned properties, including those operated by non‑profit housing providers.
Job Duties and Tasks- Perform general groundskeeping, landscape maintenance and gardening duties (planting, cultivation, mowing, edging, weeding, lime application).
- Prune shrubs, trees, ground covers.
- Keep walks, driveways and entrances clean; perform minor patch repair to asphalt; remove snow and ice; apply ice melt products as required.
- Operate and maintain mowers, edgers, trimmers and sweepers (sharpen blades, use equipment and tools).
- Operate employer vehicles (including trailers) to load, unload and deliver supplies and equipment.
- Maintain outdoor storm drains and sewers.
- Construct and repair landscape and fencing projects (retaining walls, patio boxes, etc.).
- Install and repair lawns and lawn maintenance equipment (sod, in‑ground sprinklers, etc.).
- Operate landscaping vehicles and maintenance equipment as qualified.
- Use tact and diplomacy in tenant interactions; refer tenants to other staff or apply conflict resolution skills when necessary.
