Veterinary Assistant

Yaletown Animal Hospital is an established, cutting-edge, general practice facility located on the edge of Yaletown. Our work-family is welcoming, enthusiastic and highly motivated veterinary assistants. This is an exceptional opportunity for an organized, energetic, and empathetic individual to join us in an important support role for the entire hospital.
Your role will entail:
Assist the veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments
Providing compassionate care duties, including feeding and walking patients
Technical skills should include knowledge of patient care and restraint techniques at a minimum
General housekeeping duties
Enhance the client’s experience by coordinating between the clients and members of the medical team

1 year of VA Experience minimum and/or a Veterinary Assistant (VA) program certificate
Schedule: As our clinic is open 7 days a week, this position will include weekend shifts with a varying schedule depending on clinic needs. Shifts are typically 10 hours in length, 4 shifts/week.
