Tree Care Groundsperson Position

Become a Groundsperson with Davey Tree Expert Co. in Victoria, British Columbia. Support cutting-edge trimming operations while building skills for advancement in the tree care field.

In this full-time role, you will assist climbers and trimmers, learning about the tree industry firsthand. Duties include supporting site setups, operating chainsaws, and maintaining equipment, all while enforcing safety standards. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in groundwork during trimming operations

• Operate chainsaws and load brush into chipper

• Support setup, cleanup, and maintenance at job sites

• Follow all applicable safety protocols

• Rake and blow leaves as part of site maintenance

Requirements:

• Hold a valid driver’s license for a 5-ton vehicle

• Capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs

• Willingness to work toward certification as an arborist

• Previous experience in landscape or horticulture advantageous

• Eager to learn and thrive as part of a crew
