Landscape Labourer 3 at UBC

The University of British Columbia is hiring a Labourer 3 to maintain and renew landscape features across its Vancouver campus. This role involves physical labor and the operation of specialized landscaping equipment.

As a Labourer 3 within the UBC Municipal Services team, you’ll be responsible for maintaining lawns, shrub beds, and trees. This position requires effective teamwork and adherence to safety protocols. You will also assist in supervising other laborers, ensuring high standards in landscape maintenance and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in landscaping tasks and general labor duties

• Operate specialized vehicles and equipment in maintenance

• Monitor and support fellow laborers in tasks assigned

• Request and manage necessary tools and materials

• Complete additional tasks as required in landscaping

Requirements:

• Secondary education or equivalent experience

• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license

• Experience in landscape maintenance practices

• Ability to respect diverse perspectives in work environments

• Strong teamwork and independent working skills
