This role is pivotal in promoting a culture of safety and well-being among employees. You will coordinate training programs, manage compliance with safety regulations, and develop risk assessments. Your strong communication and analytical skills will be essential in influencing positive changes and recommendations to enhance workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate health and safety training programs
• Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC and related legislation
• Assist in preparing and maintaining hazard assessments
• Advise management on safety compliance issues
• Oversee emergency preparedness drills and procedures
Requirements:
• Degree in Occupational Health or similar field preferred
• Effective organizational and multitasking skills
• Strong problem-solving capabilities
• Experience in safety training and compliance essential
• Must have a reliable vehicle for travel
