Expected salary range: $55,000 to $65,000

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Team Lead to join our QA team based in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Job Overview: Our Quality Assurance Team Lead is responsible for activities associated with the development, implementation and improvement of the company’s quality system. This includes leading a team in monitoring and verifying conformance to specifications and standards through testing and internal audits, data analysis, record maintenance, reporting on trends and performance indicators such as customer and store complaints. The Quality Assurance Team Lead will lead investigations and is expected to implement and enforce compliance measures.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Oversee the workload of QA technicians, managing both incoming issues and ongoing projects. Assign tasks appropriately, ensuring clear communication and consistent response times across the team to stakeholders
- Implement and enforce SQF policies and procedures
- Conduct and verify inspection, testing, and monitoring for food safety and quality parameters
- Manage and train a team of QA Technicians
- Lead the training of employees on GMP and other quality and food safety practices
- Manage and lead investigations into non-conformances and implement corrective actions
- Develop and implement new processes as part of continuous improvement
- Support internal and third-party audits
- Perform product testing, sensory evaluation, and maintain documentation
You will be a good fit if you have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Availability to work between 6am-12am (7.5 hour shifts) at both 2777 Kingsway and 8330 Chester St locations.
- Bachelor's degree in food science
- Minimum two years of working experience in a similar position
- Applied knowledge on an internationally recognized food safety standard
- Problem-solving and root-cause analysis abilities
