DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALITY CONTROL
Assist QC leader with daily quality control and inspection for all incoming, in‑house, and outgoing products
Identify quality issues in a timely fashion and then determine courses of action
Conduct daily cooler walks and product quality checks
Monitor the consignment inventory
Assist with product grading and monitor all product disposal
Assist QC leader with all CFIA requests and inspections
OPERATIONS
Work with the Grading Team Leader to set benchmarks for grading efficiency
Ensure proper cooler organization
Product rotation via FIFO method (First in/First out)
Assist with inventory count
QUALIFICATIONS
2-3 years of experience in Food Safety or Quality Control inspection in Food Production or Manufacturing
Extensive produce knowledge – local & imported products; retail produce experience is a definite asset
Experience in repacking processes
Use of electric pallet jacks and/or forklifts is an asset
Detail‑oriented and methodical in documentation and processes
Strong organizational skills
Thrives in a fast‑paced environment
Hands‑on individual with a strong work ethic
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Fluency in English (spoken & written)
PHYSICAL CAPABILITY
Requires frequent walking and standing for extended periods of time
Working inside and outside coolers
Lifting and carrying of up to 40 lbs
Operating a ride‑on powerjack
