Pay RangeThe expected pay range for this position is $90,000 – $122,000 annually.
Role SummaryThis Research Associate will take on the role of project lead for ongoing proof‑of‑concept technology development with industrial contract research partners.
Responsibilities- Research and Discovery – Carry out experimental development of new automated analytical hardware in the synthesis of novel chemical materials; establish a successful research program.
- Data Science – Integrate with computer science colleagues, curate large datasets and perform data visualization; experience with programming and data manipulation in Python; mandatory experience programming and training convolutional neural networks for computer vision applications.
- Technical Writing – Create reports and grant proposals in collaboration with the research team; exceptional communication and writing skills required.
- Project Management – Work with the Principal Investigator and research team to design and guide day‑to‑day research activities to meet project milestones for time‑sensitive proof‑of‑concept work; proven record of technical program management and strong research productivity.
A recent PhD in Chemistry/Chemical Science with experience in laboratory automation and relevant research experience.
