The UBC Kobor Lab is seeking an experienced Research Scientist to lead projects centered on epigenetic marks and genomic embeddings of early-life experiences.
You'll work with advanced genomics and bioinformatics, guiding initiatives that seek to influence children's health and population genetics. Your expertise will contribute to the lab’s pioneering studies and collaborative projects with interdisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead epigenomic and genomic studies with high-end technologies
• Analyze datasets related to environmental exposures
• Collaborate on various interdisciplinary research initiatives
• Train and mentor emerging scientists in the lab
• Present research findings to the scientific community clearly
Requirements:
• At least two years of laboratory research experience
• Strong background in molecular biology and genetics
• Proficient in high-throughput genomic data analysis
• Excellent scripting skills, preferably in R
• Ability to juggle multiple project timelines
