What you'll do
Refer to available literature to prepare study plans and participate in experimental design, problem‑solving and technical discussions.
Use routine bioassay techniques to characterize nanoparticle formulations and assess their potency.
Design and perform experiments to analyze the in vitro potency of drug formulations using standard techniques detailed below.
Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), reports and technical presentations.
Assist with daily tasks in the lab such as maintenance, buffer preparation, ordering, etc.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Who you are
A third‑ or fourth‑year post‑secondary student in Biology, Life Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical and Biological Engineering, or relevant disciplines with hands‑on laboratory experience (preferred).
Experience with standard molecular biology techniques such as Western blots, ELISA, gel electrophoresis, qPCR, etc. (asset).
Must be resourceful, flexible, detail‑oriented, organized and with excellent communication skills.
Be able to work both as a team and independently with minimum supervision.
An interest in drug delivery and genetic medicines.
Additional experience in general bioassay techniques, hands‑on cell culture maintenance, standard tissue culture techniques, or nanoparticle chemistry fundamentals is a plus.
The annual salary range for this role is 45,000‑55,000 CAD/year.
