Embark on an innovative research journey as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the XLZD-Canada group at TRIUMF, Vancouver. Focus on rare-event physics and WIMP dark matter searches.
TRIUMF is on the lookout for a motivated particle physics graduate for a critical postdoctoral role. You'll engage in the development of simulation frameworks while utilizing machine learning techniques for data analysis. This position emphasizes mentorship opportunities for students and allows for contributions to high-impact scientific literature.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contribute to XLZD simulation framework development
• Perform sensitivity analysis with advanced machine learning methods
• Assist in calibration studies for 0νββ searches
• Disseminate research via publications and presentations
• Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students
Requirements:
• Recent PhD in particle physics or related field
• Demonstrated expertise in data analysis and Monte Carlo simulations
• Strong programming skills in C++, ROOT, and Geant4
• Familiarity with detector systems and liquid noble gas detectors
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
