As a Research Associate, you will apply your exceptional research skills to study gill resection and regeneration in Atlantic salmon. You will actively engage in project design, contribute to data analysis, and mentor students while participating in the Department of Zoology's impactful research activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on research within the Biodiversity Research Centre
• Support ongoing studies in gill regeneration physiology
• Design projects, analyze data, and publish findings
• Mentor research students at undergraduate and graduate levels
Requirements:
• PhD in fish physiology or a relevant field with 4+ years experience
• Proven track record in scientific writing and publishing
• Experience with salmon husbandry and histological techniques
• Proficiency in RNAseq and quantitative image analysis
• Familiar with digital pathology software like ImageJ and Qu Path
