Position: Full-Time Research Assistant Huntsman Lab

Join the Huntsman Laboratory within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at UBC to contribute to ovarian and rare cancer research. This position requires a solid background in cell biology and histology, with hands-on experience in cell culture and viral transduction. Collaborate closely with Dr. David Huntsman and senior scientists to support groundbreaking research efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and generate cell cultures using lentiviral transduction

• Perform immunohistochemistry and western blotting

• Execute viral work including production and isolation

• Provide technical expertise in qPCR and DNA extractions

• Assist in developing standard operating protocols (SOPs)

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience or equivalent education

• Background in cell biology and molecular techniques

• Willingness to respect diverse perspectives

• Strong organizational and communication skills
